Is wearing a mask mandatory?
Wearing the mask is mandatory during the whole show due to the health measures against Covid-19. If you have not a mask, you can buy one at the box office near the castle’s gate. More information on this page.
When shall we arrive for the stroll?
The gates open at 9.30pm in July and 9pm in August. The last entry is at 11.15pm, you can come whenever you want in this time period. The night stroll is a free course, you can take the time you want (around 45 minutes at a normal pace).
Yet we recommend you to come when the night is dark, to enjoy the night stroll completely.
Can we seat during the visit?
It is a night stroll throughout the castle.
Can we pay with vacation coupons?
Vacation coupons are not allowed for the payment. You wander at your own pace while following a direction.
What are the necessary conditions to get a reduced rate ticket?

For whom is the group price?
Groupe price is for group from 6 people or more. It is only available online. We do not offer group price on site.
What are the conditions and the prices for people with reduced mobility?
Discount is available for the person with reduced mobility and his escort.
However, due to the amount of stairs, the course is not recommended for people with reduce mobility.
Do you accept person in wheelchair?
People in wheelchair have only access to the main court of the castle.
Should we book online or on site?
We recommend you to book online in advance.
An on-site box office is opened every day from 2.30pm on the left of the main entrance.
Should we book a ticket for children under 7?
Tickets are free for children under 7 but you still have to book a free ticket.
Can we book a ticket for the visit of the Château by day and come to the stroll with the same ticket?
There is no combined tickets for the visit by day and the night stroll.
Can the visit be cancelled due to a wet weather?
The visit is maintained, except in case of important storms. We invite you to take a look on our website the day of the representation to have latest information.
Tickets are neither exchangeable or refundable.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are not allowed inside the Château of the Counts of Carcassonne.
Are strollers allowed inside the castle?
Strollers are not allowed inside the castle, and we cannot store them.
Can we bring a tripod to take pictures/to film?
Tripods are not allowed.
Can we come with a backpack?
Backpacks are allowed but will be searched at the entrance.
If there is no place available online the night I want to come, can I buy onsite?
Unfortunately, if there is no place available online, it means we are sold out for the night. Please, select another night.
